Join us for an unforgettable evening of jazz as Edgar’s proudly presents The EMP Group with very special guest Bobby Selvaggio, one of the most compelling alto saxophone voices on today’s jazz scene. Praised by legends like Kenny Werner and Joe Lovano for his commanding sound and artistic depth, Bobby brings decades of experience from New York’s iconic jazz clubs to Northeast Ohio’s vibrant music community. Now Director of Jazz Studies at Kent State University, Bobby continues to shape the future of jazz while honoring its rich traditions.

🎶 The EMP Group is a dynamic ensemble of rising stars from Bowling Green State University, each bringing their own global influences and musical mastery:

Luca Albano – A classically trained pianist from Rome, Italy, Luca blends European finesse with American jazz soul. Thomas Johnston – A versatile Australian-born composer and multi-instrumentalist, Thomas crafts genre-bending works and leads ensembles across Ohio. Evan Palermo – A Cleveland native with international performance credits, Evan’s rhythmic energy and creative range anchor EMP’s sound.

Together, these artists create a fresh, expressive jazz experience that bridges generations and genres.
